Barry Asin
Barry Asin President
A leading authority on workforce solutions worldwide, Barry Asin is renowned for his expertise on staffing and contingent labor. President of Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) since 2010, Asin holds overall responsibility for the company’s strategy, operations and growth on a global basis. He has been with the company since 2003, where he previously held the position of Chief Analyst, leading the team responsible for SIA’s award-winning research and content.

Asin is the co-author of Breaking Through: Leadership Disciplines from Top Performing Staffing Firms and is a frequent speaker at industry events, sharing essential insights on leadership and the challenges, opportunities and rapid transformations around work today. He is quoted in major business and industry publications, including the New York Times, BusinessWeek, Inc. Magazine, The Atlantic, Bloomberg Business, CNBC, Marketplace, USA Today and MarketWatch among others.

Prior to joining SIA, Asin spent nearly 12 years as a senior executive at global staffing leader Adecco SA. Before Adecco, he held operations management positions with PepsiCo, and he began his professional career with Andersen Consulting, the predecessor of Accenture. He holds an M.B.A. from Harvard University and a B.S. in engineering from Princeton University.

Diana Gabriel
Diana Gabriel SVP, Global Strategy & Solutions
Diana Gabriel joined Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) in 2006 in the role of Strategic Solutions executive and has played an ongoing role in SIA’s growth as an organization and as a global industry advisor. As SVP, Global Strategy & Solutions, she has responsibility for sales, providing SIA’s strategic solutions that add value across the workforce solutions ecosystem, from startups to global enterprise, and SIA’s Corporate Member Services/Advisory. Diana regularly lends her expertise to industry executives, helping firms to understand the dynamic talent landscape and realize opportunities.

With over 20 years of experience in the staffing industry, Gabriel has held positions previously with Adecco North America and PRO Unlimited, among others. Her experience includes managing all aspects of branch operations, successfully driving sales and profitability. Whilst with Adecco, she worked closely with the North American sales team managing large account contract deliverables. In addition, Gabriel worked for PRO Unlimited managing onsite programs for large Silicon Valley technology customers and spent two years with a national consulting company implementing customized contingent staffing programs, partnering with both MSP and VMS companies.

John Nurthen
John NurthenExecutive Director, Global Research
John Nurthen manages the team that delivers Staffing Industry Analysts’ international research content. He has over 25 years’ experience in the staffing industry, having previously worked in senior managerial roles for three of the world’s largest staffing companies: Select Appointments, Vedior and Randstad. He played an active role in major equity offerings and mergers.

Nurthen was a founder of the International Review of Employment, published in four languages, and DOVA, one of the largest global databases of online vacancies. He played a leading role in the development of common data standards with the creation of HR-XML SIDES.

He has held responsibility for internal and external communications, e-Business, technology matters, marketing, research, procurement and corporate social responsibility. Nurthen’s experience makes him an authority on global recruitment and contingent workforce issues.

 Subadhra Sriram

Subadhra Sriram was appointed Editor & Publisher, Media Products of Staffing Industry Analysts in 2014. She is responsible for the company’s global media strategy, supervising all editorial functions. Her role allows her to oversee SIA’s content channels while managing brands that strengthen SIA’s cutting edge-research. She has founded and moderates the leading forum of user-generated content where the voices of the staffing industry are heard.

Prior to SIA, Sriram has had over 15 years of journalism experience at premier Fortune 500 publishing houses including Time Warner publications, Money magazine, Business 2.0 and Fortune Small Business. She began her career in India working for a national news magazine. She holds a Masters from Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism and a BS in English Literature and Economics from St Xavier’s College, Calcutta University.

Ursula Williams

Ursula Williams was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Staffing Industry Analysts in 2019. As COO, Williams is responsible for overseeing all of SIA’s commercial operations and driving innovation and integration in company’s leading platforms and offerings.

Prior to her appointment as COO, Williams served as EVP at SIA where she bridged various SIA departments, resulting in superior and innovative products and services for the staffing and the workforce solutions ecosystem. While in this role, Williams led the company in developing SIA’s newest and award-winning conference, Collaboration in the Gig Economy, and in a rebrand to reflect SIA’s global growth and ongoing role in providing business intelligence, research and frontline insights across an increasingly dynamic and complex talent landscape. Williams joined SIA in 2015 as SVP of Global Strategy and Marketing and has over 25 years of industry leadership experience.

Before becoming part of the SIA team, Williams most recently held senior executive positions at Randstad Professionals and Vedior, overseeing strategy, sales and delivery for the largest contingent labor buyers in the division. She has also been responsible for new product development, branding, web strategies, client development and candidate recruitment programs.
